Your enthusiasm resulted in an excellent paper! As for citing, if you think about it, is including the publishing company, location, and year such a big deal? Do you know why it’s important to scholarship? Without the publishing company info (which also tells the reader if it’s large and well-respected or small and perhaps not as discriminating) how would you know if the author wasn’t self-published? These days, absolutely anyone can pay a printing press to produce a book.

Effective research strategies is a relatively new skill students need to learn in the Internet Age. Previously, the only option was the brick-and-mortar library– you could be sure all the sources you found in the card catalogue were acceptable, but discover the books were already checked out.

Could you include your name in the subject line? Also, if you put things in perspective, you’ll realize you all got quite a break from previous years. Before, you had to learn how to cite correctly AND write an entire paper for Project 1.
